Froedtert Listed One of Country's Top Hospitals

Milwaukee, WI (April 1, 2009) — AARP The Magazine has listed Froedtert Hospital as one of the country’s top hospitals.

According to the magazine, 89 percent of doctors rated Froedtert very good or excellent. Seventy-seven percent of patients said they would recommend Froedtert.

The magazine ranked hospitals in the 53 largest geographic areas in the country. The criteria used to build the listing are based on a variety of patient safety numbers, physician recommendations and statistics on whether proper tests and procedures were followed for cases. In total, these numbers were used to identify the best 125 hospitals in the United States. The list was compiled by Consumers Checkbook, a nonprofit organization.
