Pearls of Prevention

On the Third Day of Prevention, to stay out of the ED, my husband said to me:

Please do not place your hand inside the snow blower chute if clogged, you can suffer severe hand injury. If you are using a snow blower, never, ever stick your hand inside the discharge chute. Some of the newer models come with a pole to help dislodge what is stuck.

In the Emergency Department, we see so many people that come in with significant finger and hand damage after sticking their hand in the chute!
