12 Days of Christmas - Prevention Style
The radios have been playing Christmas music since the middle of November. While I was listening to John Denver and the Muppets sing “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, a thought popped into my head. Why not a new twist on an old favorite? Why not "The Twelve Days of Prevention?"
Now, I know that the real Twelve Days of Christmas traditionally start on Christmas and end on "Twelfth Night" followed by the Feast of the Epiphany on Jan. 6. But I figure why let accuracy ruin a good meme so in the days leading up to Christmas, I'll be sharing my Twelve Days of Prevention, starting with ...
On the First Day of Prevention to stay out of the ED, my husband said to me (catchy, huh?):
Please check your holiday lights for frays, missing or broken pieces before plugging them in. (This has actually happened to me! I did not check the cord and plugged it in. While I did not get a shock, sparks did fly and I blew a fuse.) More in a few days.
