Last year, we continued the never ending journey of improving the health status of those we serve by creating innovative programs and partnerships for improving quality. We launched the first multisystem Virtual ICU in the nation, we began a massive implementation of the Epic system, and we began construction of a new Cancer Pavilion to better serve the growing needs of cancer patients. We also solidified a relationship with our community partner — Westside Healthcare Association — improving health in some of Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods.
In this issue of Froedtert Today, you’ll read about exciting technologies and treatment paths that provide hope to people who have thought there was none – for Parkinson’s disease, emergent stroke and the most challenging of gynecologic cancers. With our first 25 years behind us, we look forward to a bright future: bringing innovations through scientific discovery and dedicating our efforts toward healthcare improvements in our diverse community.
