Workplace Prostate Cancer Screenings
Employers in the five-county metro-Milwaukee area can now make annual prostate cancer screenings more convenient for their male employees, thanks to the Prostate On-Site Project (POP). The POP is a mobile clinic that’s easy to set up in a company parking lot.
Employers can reserve the mobile clinic through the Midwest Prostate Cancer Detection Foundation (MPCDF), which charges about $50 to screen each man. Screenings take about 15 minutes and are private and confidential. Participants receive immediate results of the physical exam; PSA test results are mailed to participants within one week.
POP is operated by the MPCDF. Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin are the exclusive medical sponsor for MPCDF. For more information or to arrange a work-site screening, call 414-801-3796.
