Froedtert Earns National Recognition
for Nursing Excellence

It is one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital or medical center can achieve. Froedtert Hospital has achieved Magnet designation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credential Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®.

The Magnet recognition is a tremendous achievement for Froedtert Hospital, but it doesn’t change who we are. It simply recognizes the excellent work our nurses do each day and reflects the commitment of our entire staff to serve as a team, providing the highest quality care possible for the people of our community.

The Magnet Recognition Program recognizes healthcare organizations that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards for the organization and delivery of nursing services. Froedtert Hospital went through a rigorous evaluation that included extensive interviews and reviews of nursing services. Of the more than 5,000 hospitals in the United States, less than 4.5 percent have Magnet status.

ANCC is the largest and most prominent nursing credentialing organization in the United States. Froedtert Hospital's Magnet status is valid for four years.
