PGY1 Residency Project
Retrospective analysis of antimicrobial use in neutropenic patients.
I plan to look back one fiscal year for patients admitted with a MS-DRG code of neutropenia in the Bone marrow transplant, and Hematology / Oncology units treated with an antimicrobial. After identifying the patient population, chart reviews will be done to review for appropriateness of antibiotic selection and duration according to IDSA guidelines.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I chose to pursue a residency to improve my clinical knowledge and make myself more marketable in an increasingly competitive pharmacy profession.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Geographic location and being an academic institution were reasons I was attracted to Froedtert Hospital.
