PGY1 Residency Project
Impact of Pharmacy Services on the Renal Transplantation Population
I am measuring the outcomes of pharmacy services provided to patients following renal transplantation. Additionally, I will also be evaluating the current education provided to patients during their inpatient stay and post transplant clinic visits to develop a tool to streamline care between the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
Having completed pharmacy training in the United Kingdom, I wanted an opportunity to better my understanding and experience of pharmacy in the USA. I felt pursuing a residency would help me achieve this, as well as providing the tools to improve and develop clinical skills needed to establish a successful career.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Having worked at Froedtert Hospital as an intern, I had the opportunity to experience first-hand how this institution is a well-recognized academic centre with its pharmacy services expanding continuously to provide innovative and exceptional standards of care. I was interested in the residency program due to the variety of ambulatory care rotations available, the number of experienced preceptors and the overall structure of the program which would encourage me to become a well rounded clinical pharmacist.
