The Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital employs a large number of Advance Practice Nurses (Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Midwife, and Nurse Anesthetist) and Certified Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) within southeastern Wisconsin. Through The Medical College of Wisconsin's collaboration with area hospitals (Froedtert Hospital, Community Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend) and outlying clinics, the patient care environment is very diverse. The combination of these environments lends itself to being a prime setting for educating future APN and PA-C providers.

Clinical Requests/Information
A separate Preceptorship Request Form must be completed for each student that a placement is requested for. The form must be completed and returned by the following dates.
April 15 for Fall placements (July 15 for CNS students)
October 15 for Spring placements (November 15 for CNS students)
April 15 for Summer CNS student placements

Computer Training Information/Forms
All APN/PA students are required to complete online learning modules (1 hour) prior to starting clinical. See APN/PA Computer Training Information handout.
Other Information
An affiliation agreement and program memorandum are required for each student clinical experience. These blank documents are available for reviewing student/instructor contract information. Contact Jane Hendricks to check on the status of an agreement between Froedtert and school.
Evaluations
