A few hours a week can truly make a difference
Volunteer associates at Froedtert Hospital make a difference by sharing their time and special talents with others. Why not open your heart and help someone in your community? Your concern can make a patient’s day better, relieve a staff member’s daily load, and add to Froedtert’s reputation for excellent patient care. In the process, you can learn how Froedtert Hospital helps patients through world class diagnostic and treatment services.
Being a Froedtert Hospital volunteer associate isn’t all work. You also will have opportunities to enjoy special luncheons and recognition events, participate in activities like our annual fall fashion show or the Vigilant Guard exercises, and network with others who share your passion in helping others.
We offer a wide variety of opportunities for you to serve one of our many departments and clinics. Join the nearly 400 other volunteers at Froedtert Hospital today!
Becoming a VolunteerThe Froedtert Hospital volunteer program is open to individuals ages 16 and up. While we cannot offer a “summer only” program, many opportunities exist for local college students seeking experience in a healthcare environment. Our volunteers typically contribute 3-4 hours, one day per week, including some weekend and late-shift opportunities for those interested in our Emergency Department. We ask for a minimum 80-hour commitment.
Due to the high volume of interested candidates, current volunteer opportunities are limited to weekdays during normal business hours. Adult volunteers are especially needed in Bobbe’s Gift Shop – afternoons and early evenings to help close, and Fridays anytime. Qualified candidates should make a special note on their application.
Equal Opportunity StatementFroedtert Hospital is committed to the principle of equal opportunity as required by law, regardless of race, color, religion, ancestry, sex, age, national origin, disability/handicap, veteran status, or any other legally impermissible criterion.
