Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin are members of the Parkinson Study Group and the Huntington Study Group, both funded by the National Institutes of Health.

The Parkinson Study Group is a nonprofit group of Parkinson’s disease experts from medical centers in the United States and Canada who are dedicated to improving treatment for persons affected by Parkinson’s disease.
The Huntington Study Group is a nonprofit group of physicians and other healthcare providers from medical centers in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia, experienced in the care of Huntington patients and dedicated to clinical research of Huntington’s disease.

Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin also participate in other clinical trials and surgical trials concerning Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Members of the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Program collaborate with Medical College of Wisconsin researchers who are conducting basic science research into the cause of Parkinson’s disease.
